Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser; your files never leave your device. Close the page and no copy remains.
Why can't I select the text any more?
Compression redraws every page as an image. For documents whose text must stay selectable, try medium or high quality, or keep the original.
Why didn't my file get smaller?
Small or text-only PDFs can grow when turned into images. When that happens we tell you to keep the original.
