Before you put an IBAN on an invoice or send a payment: is there a typo?

FAQ

Is what I type stored anywhere?

No. Everything is worked out in your browser; nothing is sent to a server or stored.

Does “valid” mean the account exists?

No. It means the number is well formed (it catches single-digit mistakes and most swaps). Only the bank can confirm the account is open and who holds it; always check the payee name.

Which countries are supported?

Any IBAN country for the check digits; exact lengths are checked for Türkiye, the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and a few others.
